A series of small Thai silk boxes featuring a favourite flower of many of us - the graceful lotus.
This ivory box has been embellished with 2 dark ivory jade (dyed) lotus flowers sitting upon a deep burgundy vintage plastic lotus pad with dark gold flecks. This is a 'free form' wire design (with non-tarnish artistic wire), using glass seed beads in tones of green. Setting off this elegant box are three carnelians in rich tones of burnt orange, separated by three little red adventurines. And, of course, a little vintage-looking brass butterfly hovering over playfully.
