Hand-coiled 925 silver drop earrings made with loads and loads of fine 925 silver wire and topped with beautiful tangerine-looking carnelians (semi-precious) in two shades. Tangerines symbolise "luck", and are traditionally offered by children to their parents as a sign of respect on Chinese New Year Day.

These are the perfect pair, especially for Chinese New Year, as they resemble, yes, one of the traditional Chinese New Year plants - the Pussy Willow, shown here in the background. Having these long stalks bearing their gorgeous soft white furry buds once their 'reddish brown' caps drop off are a MUST for every household celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year as they represent an invitation of abundant luck and prosperity into the home.

At a drop of 2 inches, each coiled 'willow' bud is just under 1/2 inch at its widest point.

Note: As coiled earrings are MOST easily cleaned by dipping them in silver cleansing liquid, I have purposely used semi-precious carnelians as they can go into the same dip without getting damaged. Just make sure to rinse off the ear hooks properly with gentle soap before putting them into your lobes again.
