FATHER'S DAY

Way back then, it was the cute hand-drawn Father's Day cards that really pulled at our heart-strings, LOUD "whisperings" (which had us giggling), and the pitter patter of little feet running up and down the staircase, in excitement of their Daddy's appearance for the surprise "special Father's Day breakfast" they'd prepared ALL by themselves in all of its glorious beauty of smashed up egg omelette, over-done toast and fruit cut in odd shapes & sizes :) Oh yes ... they were so proud of themselves, and such is the beauty of the innocence of little children showing the great lengths they'd go to, within the limits of their age, to show how much they love their parents :)))

Over the years, as they got older and more creative, they even got the creme caramel perfect.

Now that our son and daughter are older (21+ and 18+ years old, respectively), I hope that the hand-drawn cards will still be presented, so that Daddy, being the sentimental guy that he is, can add on to his lovely collection.

Don't know what they have up their sleeves for him this year, but we'll know soon enough tomorrow :)

Well ~~~ tomorrow being Father's Day, I KNOW, I just KNOW where "this Daddy" will be -- on the soccer pitch, having a "Father's Day" match with the guys (sigh, sigh, sigh and double sigh ... any excuse to get on the field to kick that beloved ball around), then celebrate with the kids.

What can I say ... its "HIS" day, and if kicking that ball and scoring a goal or two would make him happy, in addition to celebrating with the kids .. it'll be a wonderful Father's Day for him.

Anyways, Sasha and moi would like to wish all you great Dads out there a "HAPPY FATHER's DAY" !

Hope you have a great one!
